This Teacher Guide serves as a resource for teachers using For the Girls: Rohingya Version. This is the first-ever Rohingya Women's Health book in written Rohingya and English, with culturally sensitive cartoons representing the Rohingya culture. The product is designed for pre-adolescent and adolescent Rohingya girls around the world in need of contextualized health resources.
The purpose of this book is to help teachers by:
- Establishing a direction through our learning objectives
- Encouraging conversation through our suggested discussion points
- Promoting peer interaction through our engaging activities
Along with basic health practices, the book encourages creativity, innovation, and community-based work throughout all phases of life. The picture-based approach is designed to encourage girls to ask questions and spark conversation among their peers, regardless of their literacy level.

The Rohingya Girls' Book has been most popular among pre-adolescent and adolescent girls. We've tested this book in Kutupalong, Bangladesh over the past few years in various contexts.
Many of the girls we work with are illiterate and not in school, so they use our books to start their literacy journey.
