  • Conversation starters at the beginning of each topic
  • Improved cartoons (animals, fruits / vegetables, etc)
  • New full scenes (neighborhood, community scene, diverse food spread)
  • Currency (added in coins & value of each)

The Teacher Guide serves as a resource for teachers implementing our USA Picture Dictionary curriculum in refugee and immigrant communities in the USA. The purpose of this Guide is to help teachers by establishing a direction through our learning objectives, encouraging conversation through our suggested discussion points, and promoting peer interaction through our engaging activities.

Each page includes recommended topics, learning objectives, discussion points, and activities [drawing activity, partner activity, and group activity]. We also have an index of 30+ recommended activities that can be applied throughout any section in the book.
